Our practice
One dentist and one office.
Robert J. Brosi, DDS is a general dentist here in Oakhurst. He's the only dentist in the practice, and every patient is seen at our Oakhurst office.
We provide the broad range of care a family needs: examinations and cleanings, fillings, crowns and bridges, dentures, root canal treatment, gum treatment, and help with problems that need prompt attention. When a case is better suited to a specialist's training, Dr. Brosi will explain why and help arrange the referral.
There's real value in seeing the same dentist over the years. When Dr. Brosi reviews your records and x-rays visit after visit, gradual changes are easier to spot, and a tooth he noted earlier gets another look at your next checkup. Problems caught early are often simpler to treat.

Examination before treatment
Your examination covers the teeth, gums, bite and soft tissue, with x-rays where they add information. We find the cause of a symptom before deciding how to treat it.

Treatment of active disease first
We treat active decay and gum disease before cosmetic or complex work begins, because restorations placed over untreated disease tend to fail early.

Preservation of tooth structure
Enamel doesn't grow back. When a smaller restoration will last, that's what we recommend, and when it won't, Dr. Brosi will explain the reasons and the alternatives.

You can complete the new patient forms at home so check-in goes quicker. Please bring a list of your current medications, and your dental insurance card if you have one.

Your examination covers the teeth, gums, bite and soft tissue, and includes an oral cancer screening. We take x-rays where they're needed to show what a visual examination can't.

Are you taking new patients?
Yes, new patients are always welcome. Call us at (559) 683-4694 or send an appointment request through this website, and we'll find a time that works for you.
What are your office hours?
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The office is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Where is the office?
Our office is at 49414 Road 426 in Oakhurst, off Highway 41. Mail goes to PO Box 2407, Oakhurst, CA 93644. The Contact page has directions and a map.
Do you take my insurance?
Every plan is written a little differently, so the answer depends on your own policy rather than the name on the card. Give us a call with your plan details and we'll help you sort it out.
What if I have a dental emergency?
Call us and tell us what's happened, and we'll help you figure out the next step. For difficulty breathing or swallowing, spreading facial swelling, a head injury, or bleeding that cannot be controlled, call 911 or go to an emergency room instead.
What does treatment cost?
Cost depends on what the examination finds, so we'd rather give you a real answer than a range. Call us and ask about the treatment you're considering.
