Getting to the office
The route is Highway 41 the whole way, and you stay on it until you're in Oakhurst. Road 426 branches off the highway in town, and our office is at number 49414. Addresses along that road are spread out, so watch for the number itself.
Fish Camp sits in Mariposa County and our office sits over the line in Madera County, and neighbors from both sides of the county line are always welcome here.
How we can help
Dr. Robert J. Brosi is a general dentist. Each page below explains what the treatment involves, why it is done and what happens at the appointment.
- Examinations, cleanings and x-rays, including the soft tissue screening that is part of a routine visit.
- Fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures and root canal treatment for teeth that are broken, infected or already lost.
- Gum disease diagnosis, treatment and maintenance. Gum disease is a leading cause of adult tooth loss and often produces few symptoms in its early stages.
- Whitening, bonding, veneers and porcelain crowns, planned conservatively.
- Jaw pain and clenching, with separate pages on clear aligner treatment and oral appliances for diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea.
- Broken teeth, lost crowns and swelling, with steady guidance on what to do first.
Making an appointment
To make an appointment, call us or use the appointment request form. When you call, let us know what you'd like to come in for, since a cleaning, a routine examination and a look at a specific tooth are scheduled a little differently.
Treatment that involves a laboratory, such as a crown, a bridge or a denture, takes more than one visit because the restoration is crafted in between, and healing time can add intervals as well. When treatment is planned, we're happy to walk you through the sequence so you know how many trips down the highway to expect.
If you've been seen somewhere else, ask that office for copies of your records and recent x-rays. You have a right to copies. Please bring a current list of medications as well, including anything for blood pressure, blood thinning or bone density, since each of those can affect dental treatment.
Common questions
Do you have an office closer to the park?
Every patient is seen at our Oakhurst office, at 49414 Road 426, straight down Highway 41 from Fish Camp. We're glad to be your dentist on this side of the park.
Can more than one problem be addressed in the same visit?
Sometimes, depending on what is needed and how long each part takes. Mention it when you call, and we'll talk it through while the appointment is being scheduled.
I am new to the area. What does a first visit involve?
A first visit covers an examination of the teeth, gums and soft tissue, x-rays where they are needed, and an unhurried talk about what Dr. Brosi found and what, if anything, he recommends. Plan for it to take a little longer than a routine appointment. More for new patients.
