Finding the office

Road 426 branches off Highway 41 in the middle of Oakhurst. The numbers along it are spread out rather than grouped into blocks, so on the final stretch keep an eye out for 49414 itself. Our directions page has the approach written out along with a map.

Highway 41 is the road through town. It runs north toward Fish Camp and the south entrance to Yosemite, and south toward Coarsegold and the valley. Highway 49 comes in from the northwest past Ahwahnee and meets Highway 41 in town. Road 200 reaches Highway 41 from the North Fork side, and the lake road from Bass Lake rejoins the highway at either end of its loop. Whichever way you come, you will meet Highway 41 before the turn onto Road 426.

How we can help

Dr. Robert J. Brosi is a general dentist, and general dentistry covers most of what a household needs over a lifetime. Each page below explains what the treatment involves and what happens at the appointment, and we're happy to answer questions by phone.

Office hours and appointments

We're open Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and closed Friday through Sunday. To make an appointment, give us a call at (559) 683-4694 or use the appointment request form.

When you call, let us know what you'd like to come in for. A cleaning, a routine examination and a look at a specific tooth are scheduled a little differently, and if you're not sure which one fits, describe what's going on and we'll sort it out together.

A first visit takes a little longer than a routine one. It usually covers an examination of the teeth, gums and soft tissue, x-rays where they are needed, and an unhurried talk about what Dr. Brosi found and what, if anything, he recommends. Please bring a current list of medications, including anything for blood pressure, blood thinning or bone density, since each of those can affect dental treatment.

Common questions

Do you have another office anywhere else?

Every patient is seen at our Oakhurst office, at 49414 Road 426, and we're glad to be your dentist in the foothills.

A tooth broke this morning. What should I do?

Give us a call at (559) 683-4694 and tell us what happened and how it feels now, and we'll help you figure out the next step. The dental emergency page covers what a broken tooth, a lost crown or swelling usually needs.

I have not been to a dentist in years. Where do I start?

You're welcome here, however long it has been. The starting place is an examination, so we can see how things stand today. From there, Dr. Brosi will talk through what, if anything, needs attention and in what order, and you'll decide together. What to expect as a new patient.
